A traveler can walk into dark woods only halfway, because then he begins to walk out of them....or so I once thought.

Like the fellow who played 9 pin with the ghosts of Henry Hudson's crew, drank their spirits and then slept for 20 years; I too have not been fully concious for niegh two decade.
